The Effects of Band Resistance Exercise in Obese Women on Blood Lipids and Autonomic Nervous System Recovery Response
The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect on blood lipids and autonomic nervous systems by using band resistance exercise on obese women for 8 weeks by dividing them into an exercise group and a control group. The subjects of this study were obese women aged 20 to 39, and the recruited study subjects were randomly assigned to an exercise group (n=9) and a control group (n=9). As a result of performing the exercise, there were no significant differences in LDL-C and TG among the blood lipid variables, but the exercise groups showed statistically significant differences in TC and HDL-C (p<.01, p<.001). Heart rate recovery reactions showed significant differences in the exercise group for 1, 2, and 3 minutes (p<.01, p<.001). In conclusion, in obese women, the intensive resistance exercise of using a band is considered to be an effective exercise method, and it is judged that it can be a more effective exercise method if an exercise method that can be performed in a sedentary state is devised and applied to real life. In addition, in this study, it is thought that the exercise participation rate will increase further if customized training for each subject is applied in consideration of the physical characteristics and physical strength level of the subject excluding the blood lipid and the autonomic nervous system recovery response.
